The Heckler & Koch MP5 is a SMG available in Army of Two: The 40th Day. It has a medium fire rate, medium damage, above average accuracy and it has a quick reload speed. It is unlocked at the start of Mission 002: In Case of Fire, the second SMG you find. Its various attributes make it a well balanced submachin

e gun that is good at accurately delivering relatively long bursts of gunfire at a reasonable range and it is suitable when a short ranged weapon is needed that is more flexible than a shotgun. It uses the relatively low powered 9x19mm parabellum round so multiple shots will be required to bring down even weak opponents (thankfully it spits out lead fast enough that this won't take long).

Trivia[]

  • This particular weapon appears to be either the MP5A3 or the newer MP5A5 variant since the initial configuration of the weapon features a retractable metal stock but can be customized to look like the MP5A2 or A4 variants with a fixed polymer stock.
  • Like several other pistol calibre weapons featured in Army of Two: The 40th Day this weapon would have to be chambered with armor-piercing rounds to be effective against the predominantly armored foes in the game.
