We pre-purchased this game because my son (11) and I spent hours and hours playing the last one (Army of Two).  We loved the first game. It was very refreshing to find a game that you can play co-op with another, that is specifically designed for that reason. It is nice to be able to play with my son and interact be involved with something that we both enjoy.  That being said...

We have just started 'The 40th Day' and so far we are not impressed!  We find that moving around is very clumsy, and lacking the smooth movement that we are accustumed to with the high quality, new age games.  Also, you are limited to split screen view.  Not like the last game where you have the split screen 'Top to Bottom", now it is 'Side to Side'.  It's hard to get used to and keeps you trying to look on your partners screen to see what you can't.  The last one that the standard 'Top-Bottom' screen split, which was much easier to navigate.

Most games of this sort offer a system link, so you can play together on seperate systems and screens.  It's so much easier to have your own screen!

We get every new 'Big' game that comes out, and were very excited about this sequel!  However, so far, we have been dissapointed with what we have seen so far!!  Hopefully the play and action will improve as we play.
